Location
Dunabogdány is located in the magical Danube bend, 36 km from Budapest, just 5 km South of Visegrád. Forgó Restaurant was founded by the Jakab family in 1988, in the middle of the Swabian village, 30 meters from the main road, right next to the sandy beach, with a beautiful view to the Danube. Behind the village, the Pilis Mountains rise. The river Danube is clean on this stretch, its sandy beach is suitable for swimming and various water sports, therefore many people come here in the summer. The marked tourist routes of the Pilis Mountain range start from the village.
Food and drink
The a'la carte menu includes typical dishes of traditional Hungarian and Swabian cuisine; including several fish and wild meals. Our dishes are not only well-known but are really lavish. From spring to autumn the grill terrace is waiting for guests. We also offer quality wines from almost every region of our country.
For families
As part of the Babyfriendly Network, we are waiting families with baby changing facilities and a high chair. On the banks of the Danube, there is a children's playground and sandy beach in the summer.
Capacity
The 160 seats restaurant is extended with a 200-seats terrace in the summer, which is ideal for 120-140 guests in buffet The banquet room can host up to 70 people.Next to and behind the restaurant there is a spacious car park at our guests' disposal.
